Premium Lightweight Pump
As part of my tenure with Enerpac, I worked on a lightweight electrically-controlled hydraulic pump for lifting and torque applications. I was responsible for analysis during the design phase including 1D flow network analysis of valves, 3D implicit and explicit structural analysis, and computational fluid dynamics. I designed a hand-free auto-cycle algorithm for torqueing applications (patent US11572900), and was responsible for lab testing once the prototype design phase was complete. The product was taken from concept to production in an efficient manner through constant collaboration with marketing, finance and sales groups.

Hex-Clamping Driveline Connection
With Weasler Engineering, I was responsible for designing a new power take-off (PTO) yoke to reduce driveline vibration. The solution involved integrating a hexagonal interior component that clamps the driveline shaft under torsion. Once the design was complete, I performed a series of simulations to verify the design, including structural analysis of the clamping force, thermal analysis of the weld needed to manufacture the assembly, and a modal analysis of the driveline system. These simulations were supplemented by experimental lab testing to ensure product safety and efficiency.
